Summer Reading
Welcome back! I hope you had the summer of your dreams! Did you sleep in? Did you go on a vacation? Did you read any books? What? Read? Yes! I'd like to get to know you a bit, so in the comments below, tell me about your summer. Make sure you mention one book, article, or even a menu you read (please tell me you read something!) Give me a short summary of whatever it was and tell me if you liked it... or not...

I slept in. I went to Wisconsin Dells. I read menus at restaurants, i didn't like it, it just wasn't a fun thing to read. It didn't have anything I would like to read in it. And I just hung out with friends.

DeleteOver the summer I spent most of my time outdoors on the lake with my friends. I only read one book this summer called The Lovely Bones. I really like it because, it's different. It's about this girl named Susie Salmon. She gets murdered by a neighbor but nobody know who did it except for Susie. So, she has to sit in heaven and watch her friends and family try to figure out who did it. I'm not quite finished with it yet.

DeleteI slept it most days. I got a gold pass to Valleyfair. I also went twice this year. I was going to get the Hunger Games book series and movie.

DeleteI went camping this summer. I also went to Valleyfair. My favorite thing was going to a dance camp in Brainerd.
ReplyDeleteI slept in and went to my cabin! I'm finishing a book right now. It's called The Help and I really like it! It's in 1962 and two maids are helping a lady write a book on what its like to be a maid in Jackson, Mississippi

DeleteThis summer I went to Glacier National Park in Montana, spent most of my time with friends, and had soccer quite a bit. I read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It was about Harry learning that Sirius Black is his godfather and Harry’s dad was close friends with him. I liked this book.

DeleteThis summer I went to Lutsen with a freind we did all sort of stuff like skipping rocks,hiking and we even did the Alpine Slide I had a great time. I also did alot of reading like the book Open Minds it was realy good I recommend it to people who like dystopian books.

ReplyDeleteThis summer I read "Out of My Mind" which is a book about a girl who is in a wheelchair, can't talk, and has no control of her movements. It's about her year in fifth grade and all the things she accomplishes. It's a great book.
ReplyDeleteI also slept in almost every day and went to Great Wolf Lodge in July.
I read that book in June and thought it was the best book I had read all year. I especially loved the part when she got Elvira.

DeleteThis summer I went to Wisconsin Dells with two other families. We had loads of fun and lots of family time. I got to sleep in a lot, and very much enjoyed it. My parents, sister, friend, and I went and saw Step Up Revolution. It was an awesome movie!! :) I read-I am finishing it- the book called That Summer. Its about this girl who looks back on the best summer of her life and how everything was changing for the worst. I wouldn't say its my favorite book of all, but it is good. :)

DeleteI saw the first Step Up movie this summer and am excited to see Step Up Revolution.
DeleteThis summer, I got a season pass to Valleyfair so I went there a lot with my family and friends. I also practiced hockey both at Dakotah and at home with my own net and equipment. I slept in a lot.
ReplyDeleteFor vacation, I went to South Dakotah with my family. We went to Mt. Rushmore, camped in the Black Hills and stayed overnight in the Badlands. We also visited the town of Custer and took an old time photo there. I tried a buffalo burger for the first time. It was good!
As far as reading goes, I read several Seventeen magazines. I also have a subscription to Outdoor Life because I love to hunt with my step-dad. I have my own rifle and shot a pistol for the first time at our cabin in Duluth. It was so fun!

DeleteThis summer our family took a vacation to Wisconsin Dells for a nationals dance competition! We had lots of fun driving! I slept in everyday! I also read lots of articles on college and how everything works for that! It was fun to learn the process of enrollment and dorms and tuition! I had lots of fun this summer!
ReplyDeleteI slept in almost every day this summer.I read one book called Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen.It was a great book, also it made my top five favorite book lists.The last week before school started I went to Wisconsin Dells.That was really fun.

DeleteThis summer I went to my cabin a lot of times. I also went on a motorcycle ride for the first time. My favorite thing that I did this summer was sleeping in late. The only reading I did this summer was read People magazines.
ReplyDeleteI had a great summer! I went up north to a cabin with my friend. I read the book "The Forbidden Game" again this summer. The book is about a group of friends that get caught in a dangerous game. I went to Valleyfair six times this summer with my friends. I also spent time with my sister before she went back to college.
ReplyDeleteThis summer I went to South Dakota and had a fun time. I also caught my first walleye. My most favorite thing this summer was going to an indoor water park in South Dakota. I started reading The Outsiders.

DeleteI slept in a lot. I went on vacation to Door County, Wisconsin. I had a great time. We go there every year. I also read a lot of articles. One of them was about the state fair and all the food they have. I liked the article.
ReplyDeleteOver the summer I spent most of the days sleeping in. I went up to Leech Lake for vacation, and it was a blast! Other than that I went to the movies, Vallyfair,the Minnesota State Fair, the Renaissance festival, and archer ranges to use my bow. All of this made a pretty good summer.

ReplyDeleteThis summer was great. We headed up to South Dakota because I had a softball tournament. I also went up north to spend time with family. We went go carting and we did a round of mini golf. Towards the end of summer I had surgery to get my tonsils and adenoids removed. That was a horrible 2 weeks. I read a lot of menus too.

ReplyDeleteThis summer i wewnt to vsit my cousins i had an amazing time! i also went to wisconsins to visit my auntie. i had alot of fun this summer.i also read a book on the way to wiscons caled THE RECRUIT.
